This is a great opportunity to join a well established EMEA HR team as a Fixed Term Associate (12 months) - Senior HR Consultant supporting all corporate functions (COO –including Technology, Legal, Compliance and Audit and CFO Group) and cover support for Investments division as needed, supported by a local HR Consultant and global HR team. 

Role Summary

The Sr. Human Resources Consultant (Sr. HRC) is an internal client-facing role that will be aligned primarily with EMEA Corporate functions. The incumbent will manage and execute HR initiatives as directed by the Global HR Business Partner for the Corporate functions and will be an integral member of the global HRRM team interpreting the needs of the region alongside the global people plans. The Sr. HRC will partner with our Centers of Expertise (COE), and the global HRRM team, on enterprise-wide programs.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong consultative coaching relationships with key business stakeholders and establish trust across the broader associate population they support.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the business and people priorities and challenges within the region and business areas they support.

  • Identify and leverage the appropriate HR Specialist support locally and globally to deliver creative and practical solutions on a broad range of people and organizational priorities.

  • Support strategic work as assigned by the HR Business Partner. These projects may be complex and involve the coordination of multiple resources in order to proactively support the strategic business and HR plans for the business unit and respond to unplanned work, as necessary.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in functional areas of HR such as: organizational development and change management, performance & development, compensation, talent management, diversity & inclusion, and complex associate relations matters.

  • Acts as consultant and HR advisor to senior level leaders and associates on HR practices and programs.

  • Maintains a global enterprise HR perspective while supporting regional/ business functions or HR-specific priorities and is responsible for advising others and keeping colleagues informed.

  • The Sr. HRC may partner with the HR COE's in the creation of firm-wide tools, processes or strategies. He/she will develop functional expertise within that discipline that will be leveraged across the enterprise. 

  • Incumbent will leverage analytics, dashboards, reporting tools provided by the HR Data team to identify trends and apply best practices to business matters.  

  • Able to support their client’s operational needs – year end process/talent process etc.

  • Contribute to creating a strong sense of teamwork/purpose and sharing of insights and best practice with the EMEA HR team.

Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 8+ years of total progressive relevant work experience, ideally supporting an asset management /wealth management business.

  • Advanced knowledge of current market trends and HR practices.

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, associate relations, diversity, performance management, change management, and talent management planning.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong overall business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp business issues and understand business strategy. 

  • Adept at working with management to influence/facilitate change, implement strategy and accomplish objectives.

  • Experience working in a fast paced, changing and matrixed environment, managing concurrent projects.

  • Interpersonal relations: particularly tact, sensitivity, professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy.

  • Excellent project management skills and experience with a drive for results.

  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment.  Needs to have worked effectively in a global matrix environment.

  • Strong judgment and decision–making skills.

  • Understands potential workforce related risk and escalates as appropriate.

Work Flexibility:

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
