About the Job
- Implement Human Resource strategies and programs to improve organizational performance, in particular ensure efficient & qualitative HR services in line with HR delivery model
- Support managers and employees on a broad range of ER matters in the respective business organization, including interpretation and administration of various labor agreements, administration of grievance procedures, support during contract negotiations and liaison between managers and union representative.
- Manage the relationship with the European works council for all matters like reorganizations, policy changes, hybrid working etc.
- Manage the relationship with local works council in Germany and Austria to ensure smooth and timely implementation of all tasks like Retail Incentive etc.
- Ensure ER guidance is timely, consistent and accurate, adhering to relevant legislation and company values and policies. Conduct and coordinate investigations concerning problems raised. Facilitate, mediate and resolve issues. Involve HR and business stakeholders as needed. Follow up to mitigate recurrence
- Provide ER subject matter to the business, HRBPs and COEs. Ensure close involvement with high level and complex cases and input into overall strategy and HR project work (such as TUPE, restructuring, etc...) while maintaining HR/ER’s credible reputation
- Provide counsel and guidance to manager and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and practices (including those related to code of conduct, performance management, diversity, job levels and compensation, and benefits). Serve as a link between management and employees by coaching, mentoring, handling questions, interpreting and administering to help resolve work-related problems
- Develop and exhibit commercial insight and personal understanding of the business challenges within the LS&Co and relevant business organization(s) to execute HR goals and actions to explicitly support business needs. Establish effective partnership within the organization.
- Assist VP HR Europe in collecting data on market level for workforce planning; provide insight to COEs, HRBPs and managers on local talent and organization needs of the markets.
- Champion the capability building efforts for managers; educate managers on their roles in the execution of HR Programs. Support to increase their skill set in coaching, performance management, development opportunities, and relationship issues
- Continuously drive implementation of ways of working as set is HR Service Delivery Model. Identify opportunities to simplify and harmonize HR processes & recommend actions to HR leadership team in Europe.
- Provide the annual Labor Annual Plan including Headcount and Remuneration Costs for all respective markets. Partner with Finance in the monthly tracking of Actuals VS. AFP and Forecast. Ensure accuracy of data.
- Ensure accurate and on time statutory and internal & external reporting. Handle request from local authorities (Tax, social security, labour inspection etc..)
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of payroll, benefits, labor law. Notify relevant COE, Global Policies team on regulatory change. Answer complex local questions; assist with enrollment. Direct the operation of work related to benefits and compensation.
- Manage the operational administration of payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficient and timely delivery of services.
- Ensure all HR actions are accurately and promptly documented, updated & reflected in HR systems
- Ensure effective, safe and healthy environment, address local legal requirements, opportunities, and threats
- Manage delegated projects by providing input and recommendations & by exhibiting possessed business acumen and leadership skills
- Manage budget & vendor relationships to ensure right use of company resources
About You
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; qualification in Human Resource Management is preferred plus a minimum of 5 years experience in HR/Employee Relations
- Up to date with the latest legislation and its application in practice.

- Familiarity with HR Services, HRIS systems, processes and policies
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems or issues by gathering and assessing information, taking advice, and using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
- Strong project management and organizational skills, results orientation, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with tight turnaround, ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing, dynamic and fast paced work environment
- Ability to drive work independently but also work collaboratively with peers and colleagues in matrix organization
- Proficient PC skills; strong knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of HR systems and data a plus.
