Established in 2007, Allen People Solutions Ltd offers integrated HR, training, e-learning and organisational development consultancy services to clients across Northern Ireland, Ireland and England.

 

Hours:              37.5 hours per work Monday to Friday

Location:         Belfast (Hybrid Working)

Duration:         Permanent Full Time (part time also considered)

Flexibility:     Reasonable additional hours and travel throughout NI from time to time may be necessary to fulfil the duties of this position. Occasionally this may include to the rest of the UK and ROI.

 

Job Purpose:

To provide responsive, trusted, high quality, business focused HR advice and Employee Relations (ER) case management, to our clients through remote telephone, email and on-site support.

 

Key Responsibilities


HR/ER
  • Provide timely, comprehensive, commercial and compliant HR and employment law advice and guidance to clients on a range of people issues.
  • Case management of ER matters on behalf of clients including reviewing and / or drafting of correspondence (letters and reports).
  • Review and / or prepare Contracts of Employment and Employee Handbooks.
  • Undertake HR audits for clients.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships and ensure client retention through the delivering of service excellence in line with our values and brand.
  • Support business development and marketing our brand to further grow the business.

Recruitment
  • Design and manage recruitment and selection processes on behalf of clients including attendance on interview panels.
  • Support the preparation of FEC monitoring returns on behalf of clients

Training and e-learning
  • Design content for training and e-learning for subject matters within area of expertise.
  • Deliver and facilitate training including on areas of employment law / HR practice.

Organisational Development
  • Support the development and implementation of a range of OD interventions including Performance Management Systems, competency frameworks and employee surveys.

Other duties as may be reasonably required within competence to meet business and client needs.



Requirements

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Human Resources, Law or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Breadth and depth of HR experience including providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers/directors on a range of complex HR issues.
  • Sound knowledge of current Employment law in NI.
  • Excellent PC skills across all Microsoft Packages.
  • A valid driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the post is a must including the requirement to be based at or travel to client’s sites.

 

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation across jurisdictions; NI, England and ROI.
  • CIPD qualified.

  • Technical Expertise: Sound knowledge of NI legislation with an ability to offer sound advice to clients and be commercially focused to help to resolve their business needs and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written): The ability and confidence to provide accurate and concise verbal and written advice, reports and recommendations to clients, ensuring a strong attention to detail is maintained at all times.
  • Collaboration and Building relationships: Ability to collaborate and maintain positive internal and client relationships to ensure service excellence within our values.
